What is one of the hardest things to teach young children?

Honoring what makes one unique and original is a tough concept for many children to grasp. How do we help young children understand and embrace their originality? We can help children develop a sense of pride and appreciation of who they are by creating safe spaces where they can embrace the things that set them apart or make them different. We can also help children embrace the natural gifts that they bring to any situation when we serve as role models of originality.

Let’s help children accept the differences in themselves so that they can accept the differences in others. tlb
