How to Bridge the “Achievement Gap”for Kids in Poverty

Kandice Sumner may not be a household name but her work in Boston Public Schools is inspirational. Sumner created and facilitates a professional development curriculum entitled R.A.C.E. (race, achievement, culture and equity) to engage educators on how to conduct courageous critical conversations concerning race with today’s youth.
