Finding easy ways to share and access good learning materials can be a real challenge for busy teachers and administrators. With the beta release in June of Amazon Inspire, educators everywhere may have a new learning resource mega center right at their fingertips.
This past summer, during ISTE’s educator’s conference, Amazon launched a beta release of a new digital resource platform giving teachers easy access to upload, share, and review free digital content. With Amazon Inspire, educators can access the most trusted digital resources anytime and from anywhere. Inspire is not the first platform of its kind; however, it is on track to be the largest as it will offer thousands of pieces of content from the Folger Shakespeare Library, the NewseumED service as well as the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard.
The platform will also feature many open educational resources (OER) from individual teachers and school districts (however, school districts can choose to restrict who sees their educator’s content).
