What messages do we send to our students? As an educator, I have all sorts of ideas about what I believe my students should hear and see throughout their academic day. This morning, I discovered a post from Dr. Lori Desautels, Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Marian University, that I’d like to share because I believe she gives three simple rules that get to the heart of what students (really) want to hear from their teachers:
I believe in you
You have a purpose
How are you?
As you prepare for the new school year, look for ways to spend each day encouraging and motivating your students. This is an essential part of your curriculum! To see Dr. Desautels’ post, click here. tlb
