Inspiring Educators Who Inspire Future Leaders

2014 is the year of the internet of things—no, seriously, we mean it this time

If you are a parent or teacher, please read this post. It seems that experts believe next year is the year when technology will touch every aspect of ours and the lives of our children. Seriously, schools have watched more and more students come to school expecting to slide instead of turn pages in books. Advances in technology have become so advanced and so personalized that “smartphones and smart appliances,” according to experts, “are harbingers of what’s to come.” I believe this is significant news for parents, but could be a game changer for many public and private schools as they work to get appropriate resources to train a generation of teachers who may not be as comfortable with the latest in technology and as they work to get the latest technology into their classrooms. tlb
