Inspiring Educators Who Inspire Future Leaders

Giving Tuesday

With only 26 days before Christmas, there are so many things that I am thankful for but none more than the ability to help others during this season of giving. After all of the hoopla of Black Friday sales and deals, I look forward to what I hope will become a tradition for many and that is Giving Tuesday.

Started by the United Nations Foundation and the 92 Street Y, Giving Tuesday was created to “inspire the spirit of volunteerism by encouraging folks to give back within communities as well as to non-profit organizations.” In just its second year, registered non-profit [501(c)3] organizations, schools, large and small businesses, religious and community groups across the country will take part in this year’s day of giving. And, absolutely no commitment to give back is too big or too small. The purpose of the day is to get involved and to give back of your time and/or to support your favorite charitable organization.

So on Tuesday, December 3, please consider giving back! tlb
