The Hour of Code 2014

Attention all Teachers and Administrators: The Hour of Code 2014 is coming!

Why is this initiative so important? It is important because it gives schools an opportunity, in sixty short minutes, to “introduce computer science while demystifying “code.” Likewise, the Hour of Code provides a golden opportunity to create a space for students to become “makers, creators, and innovators.”

This year’s Hour of Code takes place December 8-14. It isn’t too late to start planning. Schools can access one-hour tutorials directly from the Hour of Code website. tlb

I’ve already signed up to do this with all of my technology classes. You should sign up too! Do it with kids at school, girl scouts, boy scouts, your kids at home, do it yourself. It’s well worth one hour of time or more.
