Like so many of my colleagues, I search for new ways to share stories from African-American culture and history during Black History Month. This year, PBS has a wonderfully diverse program line-up for teachers and parents to use. During the first week of February, the network highlighted the work and lives of author Alice Walker and a pioneer of the Underground Railroad William Still. The original air date for Mr. Still’s story was February 5; however, there is a link to the full video on PBS.org. tlb
