School administrators, directors, superintendents, district managers — if you have not thought about using Pinterest as a marketing/branding tool for your school, this blog is for you.
In just a few short years, Pinterest has become one of the fastest growing social media platforms out there. Its core audience is largely made up of women (68% of users; 100K), and the number of teachers using Pinterest is growing. Pinterest is fast and easy to use. And, best of all, Pinterest is a visual learner’s dream resource because it “allows users to save images that they find as they surf the web.” Some see Pinterest only as a vehicle for selling merchandise. I say great! Let’s begin to use tools that will help us market and sell our schools. Furthermore, I believe we should use Pinterest the way it was originally design: to sell, sell, sell. Perhaps you already use Pinterest (personally) as a social media tool; however, if you do not know about the power of Pinterest as a marketing tool, check out ISM’s blog. tlb
