Inspiring Educators Who Inspire Future Leaders

Nike’s “Just Do It!”

For many, these words will forever be tied to a marketing campaign launched by major sporting giant, Nike. In the field of education, these three simple words are used to encourage our students to try a new math concept, to write their first letters turning them into sentences, to compose their first piece of music, to kick their first ball, to dissect their first worm, or to create their first sculpture.

“Just Do It!” is not just a sport’s slogan — it is a way to inspire students of all ages to try something, fail, and then try again. When looking at this picture, I was struck by how important it is to continue to inspire my students to dream (while reaching for the impossible) and to “Just Do It!” tlb
