Design Thinking, Like Yoga, Is Mindset, Not Product

Once again, Grant Lichtman reminds schools of what is important — to thine own self be true. This is such an essential truth for any institution (especially schools) to embrace if it hopes to thrive. Like Lichtman, I believe “each school has a unique set of strategic objectives; therefore, the activities and outcomes for each school should be unique [to the school].” One school trying to be like another school doesn’t make it standout; it makes it little more than an imitation of the original. Schools that possess a “design thinking mindset are institutions that set the trends.” Does your school have a design thinking mindset? tlb
