Just a few short years ago, no one could have ever told me I would be writing a blog post strongly encouraging teachers to use Twitter as a professional development tool. However, fast forward to 2014 and that is exactly what I am doing. Not only do I encourage teachers to use the power of Twitter to obtain access to free professional development resources, but I also encourage teachers to utilize Twitter’s ability to provide quick and easy access to teachers all over the world. Furthermore, Twitter is an effective instructional tool that can be used to enhance teaching in and out of the classroom. In order to understand how to utilize Twitter so that you can maximize its usefulness, I’d like to share several resources from the folks at the National Education Association (NEA). These resources should help teachers new to Twitter (or even teachers not sold on Twitter) get the help they need to get the most out of Tweeting. tlb
